TJ

My friend TJ is a skateboarder who lives in the neighborhood. Tonight we went out to our local skate park to shoot.

I once heard photograph defined as:

• photo - light
• graph - to write
• photograph - to write with light

From that perspective, shooting TJ at the skate park tonight was at the opposite end of the spectrum from shooting jiu jitsu at sunset last week. At class, I had about as beautiful light as photographer could ever ask for. Tonight, the only useful light was what I brought - an Apurture Light Tube.

These were shot with my Fuji X-H1 and a fixed 24mm equivalent. Manual focus, high speed burst, around f/4 + 1/250s + ISO 6400+.
